This dress uses one of my favorite open work stitches, The Petal Stitch! Use basic stitches and learn some new ones! And since this is a sewing and crochet project I have all the written out steps for sewing the dress and a pattern you can print and cut out for the headband!

This dress is made from bottom to top. The bottom of the dress is cut and sewn separately the n sewn to the bottom of the crochet top. This dress bottom can be done from a fabric fat Quarter. I have the pattern that you can print for the headband at the end of this as well as the sewing instructions for sewing by hand.

Materials:

5 mm hook, 1 Fat Quarter or 18″ by 21″ fabric, 1/4 Elastic 22″ long, Sewing needle and thread.

Stitches: Slip Stitch, Chain, Single Crochet, Double Crochet, Half Double Crochet Together.
